NBHA ND03 District Barrel Racings:
- NBHA rules will apply.
- All barrel racings will be a 4-D format,
unless there are less than 30 entries then the 3-D format will be used. Updated 6/2007
- World Qualifier points and year-end award points will be on a 4-D format.
- Western Attire is mandatory, unless waived by the Director. Any contestant losing a hat will be fined $3, payable at the end of the class. All fines must be paid prior to next race entry. All fines collected will be placed in district year-end awards fund.
- All NSF checks will be assessed a $50 fee in addition to the amount of the check and bank charges. All fines must be paid prior to next race entry. All fines collected will be placed in district year-end awards fund.
- Members shall refrain from schooling your horse during a competition. Remember to respect the ground conditions for the barrel racers running behind you.
- DECISIONS OF THE ND03 DISTRICT DIRECTOR ARE FINAL.
ND03 Year-End Awards:
- You must be a current member of ND03 or declare ND03 as your competition district. If your membership has expired more than 30 days, you will lose all of your accumulated points-to-date and have to start over at time of renewal. You can renew online through NBHA’s website at anytime or contact your District Director. We will not “backdate” memberships for anyone.
- Points for year-end awards will be awarded for 10 places, in each division, per class, for every rider/horse combination. All points will be awarded on a 4-D format. This WILL NOT affect NBHA World Qualifier Points.
Example: Open Class - 1st Division - first place, will receive 10 points; second place will receive 9 points and so forth, down to 10th place receiving 1 point. Members with multiple entries may earn points in the same division of a class on different horses. Points are tracked on the rider/horse combination, not just the rider or just the horse and will not be transferred to another rider or horse, nor will they be added together for a total in a division or a class. World Qualifier points will be awarded separately according to NBHA Rules.
- Ties for year-end awards will be handled as follows: The member that had the fastest average time at district finals will be declared the winner.
- Must enter district finals. 2008 District Finals are tentatively scheduled for October 4 in Killdeer, ND (Indoor Arena).
- Year-End awards ceremony will be held immediately following the District Finals.
